Narrated by Muslim (2713), from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to instruct us, when we went to bed, to say:
"O Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of the Mighty Throne, our Lord and the Lord of all things, Splitter of the grain and the date stone, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Criterion (the Qur'an), I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature You have control over. O Allah, You are the First, and there is nothing before You. You are the Last, and there is nothing after You. You are the Most High, and there is nothing above You. You are the Most Near, and there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and enrich us, so we are not poor."

From Ali (may Allah be pleased with him):
A slave (who had a contract for emancipation) came to him and said:
"I am unable to fulfill the terms of my emancipation contract, so help me!"Ali replied:
"Shall I not teach you words the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) taught me? Even if you had a debt the size of Mount Seer (a mountain), Allah would repay it for you!"
He said:"Say: O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful instead of what You have made unlawful, and make me independent by Your grace from all others besides You."
- Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3563), and graded as good (hasan) by al-Albani in Sahih al-Tirmidhi.

Narrated by al-Tabarani in al-Mu’jam al-Saghir from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him):The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him):
"Shall I not teach you a supplication that, if you say it, even if you had a debt as large as Mount Uhud, Allah would pay it off for you? Say:
O Allah, Owner of the Dominion, You give dominion to whom You will and take it away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good. You are indeed powerful over all things. You are the Most Merciful of this world and the Hereafter. You give them to whom You will and withhold from whom You will. Have mercy on me with a mercy that will make me independent of the mercy of anyone else besides You." - Graded as good (hasan) by al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhib wa’l-Tarhib (1821).
